Our Community Reads and Learns - May 1, 2021
Get Ready for Our Summer Reading Challenge!
The Summer Reading Challenge Is Coming Up Fast!
May 17th - August 22nd

Summer is a great time to catch up on your reading and it's also a great time to encourage your children to read and explore.

Traditionally library Summer Learning programs are designed to ward off the Summer Slide, the loss of learning that happens when students are out of school for the summer.  With the disruption of the school year, it's even more important to provide learning opportunities for children. This summer, we will again focus on activities you can do at home as individuals and families.

The centerpiece of our Summer Learning program is the Our Community Reads and Learns - Summer Challenge.

Just register and log the minutes you read to earn badges. You can also complete activities and write reviews to earn additional badges.

Participation is open to all ages from newborn on up. Anyone under 18 who reads 1,000 minutes will win a prize. The top reader (most minutes read) in each age group will also win a prize. And if that isn't enough one person from each age group will win a prize! The more minutes you read and reviews and activities you complete, the more entries you will earn.

We are working towards a community goal of 100,000 minutes!  We can do it!

Challenge your family & friends!
There's an App for That
Download the Beanstack Tracker app on your phone or other mobile devices to make it easy to track your reading.

You can add friends and family to your Community so you can see how each other are doing. Maybe get a friendly challenge going.
