RIBBON-CUTTING: WEST BAY TRAILHEAD
Largo leadership and City Commission along with our community partners including Pinellas County, Florida Department of Transportation, Creative Pinellas, PSTA, and the Largo Medical Arts District, celebrated the completion of the West Bay Drive Trailhead project on Tuesday, April 12 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Enhancements to the site create a more walkable downtown and connections to the Pinellas Trail. Next time you are on the trail, pause to enjoy the shade, benches, bike repair stations, and fresh landscaping. View ceremony photos, or visit DowntownLargo.com to learn more.
GET YOUR OLD DOCUMENTS READY FOR SHREDFEST ON APRIL 23!
♻️📰The City of Largo will be hosting its free ShredFest on Saturday, April 23 at the Starkey Road Collection Center (1551 Starkey Rd) from 9am-12pm, or until full capacity has been reached. This easy, drive-through event allows residents to bring up to five boxes of documents for free and secure on-site shredding and recycling. All patrons are to remain in their cars during the event.
NEIGHBORHOOD GRANT
Sometimes a little change makes a big difference. When your neighborhood needs a small project, consider applying for a Neighborhood Project Matching Grant. The Neighborhood Project Matching Grant Program provides matching grants, of up to $3,000, to neighborhoods interested in building strong relationships around a community-driven project that supports the City’s strategic focus areas of Sustainability, Community Pride, or Public Health & Safety.
CELEBRATING LARGO EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION DISPATCHERS
In honor of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, the Largo Police Department highlighted the amazing team of Emergency Communications Dispatchers. Visit the Largo Police on Facebook to watch a special video about the superior services they provide and be sure to send a WOW note to thank our #HeadsetHeroes for their dedication to public safety.

Wed 4/27, 7:30pm
Thunderstruck: America's AC/DC gives fans so much more than the sound of AC/DC, they truly capture the high voltage energy and experience! For fans, it's about a sense of familiarity, and it's about a feeling that snatches up listeners and takes over.
Who remembers Tone Loc's "Wild Thing" or Tag Team's "Whoomp! (There It Is)"!? Now's your chance to see them live in Largo under one roof! Dust off that Pelle Pelle gear and grab your Funky Cold Medina for a great night! Arrive early and check out the graffiti show in the lobby
SUMMER CAMP COUNSELORS NEEDED
The City of Largo needs your help in serving our community. Summer camps are set to start in June, yet it may not be the number of summer camps our community has come to expect from Largo's Recreation Department. There is a critical need for Summer Camp Leaders aged 18 and up to help provide a fun and safe summer for children in our community. New hires who complete the entire 10 weeks of summer with us are eligible to receive up to $300 in incentives.
