Exciting News!
Ribbon Cuttings!
Rosa-Lucca Estates is excited to announce the official opening of their new wine tasting room in Cool! We are fortunate to have the Divide Chamber of Commerce officiate a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday May 1, 2021 at noon.

Over the past 10 plus years while developing the vineyard and winery Rosa-Lucca Estates has had many milestone moments occur on special dates within the family, and the opening of the tasting room is no exception. May 1st would have been the 64th birthday of Steve Borello, co-founder and husband of Mickey Borello, who passed away suddenly in March 2020.

Join us as we dedicate the opening of the
Rosa-Lucca Estates Tasting Room
in honor and memory of Steve Borello.

Art on the Divide

This May we are celebrating our newest member, Christine Springer, and featuring her beautiful oil paintings at Art On the Divide Cooperative Gallery.
Someone New at AODC Gallery
Art On the Divide Gallery has gathered up a new painter from our area: Christine Springer. Several landscape oil paintings from her time in Arizona and New Mexico are on display right now.
She will be our Featured Artist in May for a special show, titled “Town and Country” at AODC Gallery, 6295 Main Street in Georgetown.

Christine earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in interior design from Arizona State University in the seventies, became attracted to southwestern landscapes and the natural light of the high desert. Using
brilliant color, defining shapes, finding interesting light and with expressive brushstrokes Chris paints both outside directly from life (en Plein Air) and from original photographs she has taken from her
travels in the US, Europe and Western Turkey. She wants the viewer to feel her passion and emotion from her paintings, calling her style realism mixed with impressionism. Her painting heroes are Georgia O’Keefe, Edgar Payne, Wayne Thiebaud, Edward Hopper and Andrew Wyeth. Not only did she study interior design, but printmaking with Geraldine Russell in New Mexico, and most recently oil painting, studying under Randy Blasquez in the style called Russian Impressionism.

Come see this new and special artist at Art On the Divide Cooperative Gallery, now open from 11-4 Friday, Saturday and Sunday and watch for her Featured Artist presentation in May. AODC Gallery will host an artists’ reception for Christine on May 2nd from 1-4 p.m.

Enjoy refreshments and music by pianist Mary Beth Dowd.
Drop by the Gallery the weekend of May 1st or 2nd and meet Christine and enter a free drawing to win an oil painting of Christine's.

Winner will be announced at 3pm on May 2nd.
You need not be present to win.

MAY 23rd Painting and Sketching in the Great Outdoors

In May, the members of Art On the Divide Cooperative Gallery invite all interested Divide residents and visitors to our community to explore painting “en plein air” at the gallery garden and around the nearby Georgetown neighborhood. En Plein Air is from the French language, culture and history and is defined as “...the act of painting outdoors.” In recent times and now all over the world, we see it re-imagined as the ‘sketch crawl’ or ‘urban sketching’ or even ‘nature journaling’.

Participants and viewers for this new, local event will meet on Sunday, May 23rd at 11 a.m. in the garden in back of AODC with their portable sketching or painting tools and materials and either set up there or meander through the local streets and alleyways to find other locales with one or more subjects of interest. All are invited to re-assemble several hours later back in the garden to view and share the art that has been created during the day.
