November Recap
Giving Thanks, the November Heritage Group monthly meeting theme, reminded us there is much to be thankful during this unique time as members arrived arms-laden with a total 115 peanut butter jars for Heights Interfaith Ministries Food Pantry. We are thankful to our numerous members for their kind-hearted generosity and to member Cathey Harrison for her thoughtful same-day delivery of all these jars directly to Food Pantry shelves.

Moving into the meeting portion, members learned much from a delightful presentation on the educational mission at Heights area HITS Theatre. Our multi-talented featured speaker and singer, Adam Wagoner, is HITS Producing Artistic Director. Our brown bag luncheons were augmented by “Taste of Thanksgiving” turkey/cheese/grapes light bites platters complemented with cranberry sauce on each table. We used our club china, silverware and assorted vintage cloth napkins as a nod to our traditional holiday meal.

We remain ever thankful for Linda Navarro, our amazing Hospitality Coordinator who artistically prepared the appetizer boards and platters. We also thank Novembers' Hospitality Hostesses Edie Custer, Dena Honeycutt, Diane Oswald, Kathy Sandefer, Robin Swinney, Gloria Wilson with Head Hostess Magdalene Vulkovic for the décor, lovely table settings and all the dish washing/laundry brigades! Added thanks go out to Kathy's daughter, Shea Hill, for her porch pumpkins "loan!"
HITS and Harold's
The perfect Wednesday Heritage Group outing in the Heights: an informative and entertaining tour of HITS Theatre led by Adam Wagner and colleagues followed by a tasty personalized lunch menu and relaxed dining overlooking 19th St. at Harold's Restaurant, Bar & Rooftop Terrace.

Thank-you to Barbara Roberts, Programs VP and the Committee for a successful day, and to Harold's owner Alli Jarret for that very decadently enticing Chocolate Mousse Cake none of us could refuse! And yes, we are ready to buy tickets for upcoming productions at HITS Theatre and hope to see you there too.
