Myra Tawfik, Professor of Law at the University of Windsor, wants to see the region truly embrace the mindset of innovation. “One of the things that I think is key for our region is to become IP literate," Myra states. "We need to think about not only intangibles, but how business owners can use the intangible elements of their business to become more resilient. Entrepreneurs should be able to recognize the potential value of trademarks and brands and how to leverage that.”
