Late breaking news, Estrella Warbirds Museum, Paso Robles California.

This email is being sent to all members along with those on our press release listing and furnished for your information and/or action if so desired.  We have just been informed that our long standing request for a Lockheed PV-2 Harpoon aircraft was just approved and it is scheduled to arrive at Estrella Warbirds Museum on Wednesday, April 8th, around 12 noon!  If you would like to help us welcome our newest acquisition, feel free to stop by and visit!
US Navy PV-2 Harpoon
The Lockheed PV-2 Harpoon is a revised design of the Lockheed Ventura, a twin engine medium bomber of WWII. The US Navy utilized the PV-2 Harpoon for anti-submarine work. More recently, as in the case of the PV-2 arriving on August 8th, this aircraft was utilized by CALFIRE as a fire bomber fighting fires throughout California and the western United States.  Current plans call for restoration to its WWII design as a static display.  The flight into Paso Robles will be the final flight for this particular aircraft.
