Hello from Haiti!

Many of you know Pastor Obas.

If you have been on one of our short-term mission trips to Acul-Samedi, you would know Pastor Fontus Obas. If you haven't met Pastor Obas, you are missing out on knowing a wonderful man of God! Pastor Obas has legal permanent residency in the U.S. and could live here full time. Life would certainly be easier in the U.S. than in Haiti. Instead, he chooses to live in Haiti where he faithfully serves the village where he pastors. Any time he comes to the U.S. to visit his family, he can't wait to get back to Haiti where he has his calling!

This is his time of need.

Recently, Pastor Obas hasn't been feeling well. His friends and colleagues in Haiti noticed that something wasn't right. At the urging of his friends and family, he reluctantly came to the U.S. to seek treatment. While in the house of one of his sons, the family noticed the clear symptoms of a stroke. He was rushed to the hospital and the stroke was confirmed. After a stay in the hospital, Pastor Obas transitioned to a rehabilitation facility where he is receiving therapy to restore mobility to his right arm and right leg, and to assist with cognitive improvement.

Please pray for this friend in need.

God is known as the Great Physician. We are reaching out to all of our friends to ask you to pray for his full recovery. Your prayers matter, and will be an encouragement to Pastor Obas. We know he won't be happy until he can return to the people he loves and serves in Haiti!
Blessings to all,
