MINISTER'S MESSAGE
Beloveds,

This month we are talking about the Soul’s Call. I will be the first to admit, the first time I heard my Soul’s Call, I let it go to voicemail and left it there. However, Soul always calls back again. Eventually, it couldn’t be ignored any longer. I had to answer and I’m so glad I did. As much as I loved the life I had, and as comfortable as I was, I’m much happier doing ministry than data entry. I’m much more abundant in friends, financially, spiritually and physically.

Our collective Soul is calling to us now. We are being called to rise above our little lives and embrace a greater sense of Oneness. We are being called to look outside our safe and comfortable routines in order to see a greater horizon. That view might be dizzying for some of us. Many of us will have moments of fear and doubt and want to turn around and go back.

As a spiritual leader, it’s my job to tell you we can’t go back. The way things were in 2019 (or 1950 or 1927) didn’t work as beautifully as nostalgia might tell us. Today’s Center has new challenges and needs. As Holmes tells us, we do well to listen to the Soul’s Call to move forward, for it “for it tells us of a life wonderful in its scope; of a love beyond our fondest dreams; of a freedom which the soul craves.” Our collective Soul’s call is telling us to move forward, to live in this wonderful world as it is and to learn how to navigate it.

Board Report
Greetings to everyone.

Welcome to June!

It has been such a pleasure to see familiar faces in the Sanctuary as we have moved into physical presence at our services. I know how much that has been missed by so many of us. And for those who continue to join us online, thank you for being with us!

The Board has made - and will continue to make - some decisions about our reopening guidelines. Stand by for more information.

This month’s theme is the Soul’s Call. Ernest Holmes defines the Soul as “the Creative Medium of Spirit; the subjective side of life; the Mirror of Mind, for It reflects the forms of thought which are given It.” As we look into this Mirror, may we see reflected the Truth, Beauty, Harmony, Abundance and Peace that are ours by right.

Blessings to All,
Kyra Molitor (Board President)

WHAT IS THE CALL OF YOUR SOUL?
Grace McManus, RScP
As we slowly ease out of the worst of the pandemic, we notice that things are being to open up and we can now resume some of our former activities. However, many challenges still confront us and we are not through yet. So, the question is “What is the Call of Your Soul?” as we begin the second half of 2021. For me, it means examining the way we do things in today’s world. I have been challenged by the new technology and a new way to relate via Zoom and other forms of social media. It is calling me to look at the fears I have of not being around people in person all of the time.  What I have learned is that this can become a new adventure.  I am allowing myself the opportunity to explore new ways to communicate.

My preference is still be in personal contact with people most of the time, but interacting via the computer has brought about advantages re: time spent at meetings, traveling, interacting while still being in my own home. In fact, someone joked with me today that the number one clothing item that was sold during the pandemic was pajamas! I am really not that surprised.

We are entering a new phase of our social and spiritual evolution as we have had to come to terms with depending on technology to get us to communicate. This call I am feeling is to open myself up to seeing technology as a way to have an adventure in Paradise instead of an adventure in Prison. For me I have had to lean in and embrace a whole new way of relating. This is what I feel is calling me. What is the Call of Your Soul?

Prayer and Meditation Groups
Rev. Kathleen is offering a chance to develop a spiritual practice called Visioning. This is a form of deep listening in which one catches a higher vision for his or her life. As a shared practice, it leads to deep change, both in one’s world view and one’s activity. This practice is inspired by the Life Visioning Process introduced by Rev. Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith (book available on Amazon). Each group will be limited to 12 people and will begin online. Eventually, each group will be self-led and other groups may start in a time and place that works for the members.
Saturday option: from 9 am to 10:30 am, the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month.
Monday option: from 5:30 pm to 7 pm, the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month.
Please note: you will be allowed into the room by the moderator at the beginning of the meeting ONLY if you have reserved your place with Rev. Kathleen. This keeps the meeting from being zoom bombed and creates a safe environment.
If you are interested in joining others online for a daily spiritual practice,
please check out www.tucsoncsl.org and www.newvisioncsl.org for
their morning prayer groups.

JUNE THEME

Theme: The Soul's Call

“True freedom—true liberty—has something cosmic behind it…. If our nature is one, if God is one—and we know that God must be one, for the universe cannot be divided against itself—then we are all tied into an indivisible unity. We shall have to get back to this unity to find the meaning of freedom. Nothing in any part of this cosmic whole could be considered freedom that would destroy the liberty of some other part of it. That would be self-destruction, would it not? The kingdom of God is one kingdom. So we know that true liberty must spring from true unity."

Ernest Holmes, from a talk, Sunday, July 4, 1937

ERNEST HOLMES QUOTES

“Through the power of love, we can let go of past history and begin again. Love heals, forgives and makes whole.”
“There is but one life, one body of love and all are part of it. … In human nature, the fusion of love and thought make us all one.”
“No living soul can contribute one iota of happiness or peace or health or happiness to your life, and no living soul can take one iota away only as you allow it to flow through your consciousness.”
Please remember CSL Prescott in your financial giving. While the Center was closed, the fixed costs of running the Center did not change. You can make a contribution HERE.
