RNC Messaging

The RNC provides fantastic tools for candidates and activists. Among them is informed policy and messaging resources. Based on data and research the RNC has created a messaging memo to inform our Republican officials, candicates and the grassroots. I invite you to share this information with anyone engaging voters and working to ensure our success in November.

READ FULL MEMO

Biden’s Economy:

  • The RNC understood that the economy would be a driving issue during the midterms and sought to answer the question of blame.
  • Of those who blame Biden, Republicans win 66% of their vote. However, of those who blame pent-up demand or corporate greed, Republicans only win 36% of their vote.
  • When a voter shifts blame to Biden and Democrats for the current state of the economy, their propensity to vote Republican nearly doubles.

Crime & Safety:

  • Crime and safety are top of mind for voters this midterm election, but this issue is more nuanced than simply pointing out rising crime, an open border, and a spike in drug-related death.
  • 45 million voters say the issue of crime has a major effect on their vote with 17 million holding it as a top 2 issue.
  • 20 million swing voters say the issue of crime has a major effect on their vote with 7 million holding it as a top 2 issue.
  • In a national poll, the RNC found that Republicans led Democrats by 16-points on the issue of crime.

Abortion:

  • Early on, the RNC understood the impact of the Dobbs decision.
  • A majority of voters disagree with Democrat’s extreme stance on abortion, including a majority of independent voters.
  • When comparing a Democrat who supports abortion at any time for any reason, against a Pro-life Republican who supports exceptions for instances of rape, incest, or the life of the mother, the GOP candidate holds a +22% advantage.
  • Put your opponent on defense and force them to answer for their extreme position.

Hispanic Heritage Month

September 15th marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month when we celebrate the contributions and honor the legacies of Hispanic Americans who have enriched our nation.

  • The Republican Party has always been the home for freedom and opportunity.
  1. We champion those values by fighting for school choice, entrepreneurship, religious freedom, and the removal of barriers that impede opportunities to achieve the American Dream.
  • In 2020, the realignment of Hispanics to the Republican Party materialized.
  1. In 2020, Republicans netted 15 seats in the House of Representatives. In each of those seats that flipped to the GOP, the elected winner was either a woman, minority, or veteran. Five Hispanic Republicans were part of the 15 seats flipped.
  2. President Trump won 38% of the Hispanic vote in 2020, a 10-point increase from 2016.
  • In 2021, Republicans saw huge gains with Hispanic voters and big wins with Hispanic candidates.
  1. Governor Glenn Youngkin received more votes than any Virginian in history. Youngkin won Hispanics and Latinos by a 55-44 margin and Cuban American Jason Miyares was elected as Virginia’s first Latino Attorney General.
  2. Texas Republican John Lujan flipped House District 118, a 73% Hispanic district that Biden won by 14 points in 2020.
  3. In McAllen, an 85% Hispanic South Texas town, Republican Javier Villalobos flipped the mayoral seat.
  • This cycle, more Hispanic candidates are running for Congress than ever before.
  1. 102 total Hispanics have filed to run.
  2. In June, Republican Mayra Flores flipped TX-34, an 84% Hispanic district in the deep-blue Rio Grande Valley.
  3. She is first Mexican born Congresswoman, and she is the first Republican to represent this part of the RGV in Congress since 1870.
  • Hispanics are being left behind by Biden and Democrats’ failed policies.
  1. Under Biden, inflation is historically high, Americans are paying more for gas, and the economy has entered a recession.
  2. Reports find Hispanic or Latino households are feeling the squeeze of Bidenflation more than most Americans.
  3. Inflation and the economy are the top issues for Latino voters heading to the ballot box in November.
  4. Biden’s border crisis disproportionately affects Hispanic communities along the border.
  5. More than 4.2 million illegal immigrants have crossed the border since Biden took office.

Biden's War On Kids And Parents

Under Joe Biden, child care and back-to-school costs are rising, toddlers are being forced to wear masks, and children are falling behind.

What you need to know:

  • Child care, tuition, and day care is more expensive under Biden.
  • Raising a child to the age of 17 now costs the average family over $310,000 – up more than $26,000 in just two years.
  • 63% of parents report higher child care expenses compared to last year, with more than half saying they spend over 20% of their household income on child care.
  • Parents are facing surging back-to-school costs thanks to Bidenflation.
  • Parents of K-12 students will spend $864 on school supplies this year, up $168 since 2019 according to the National Retail Federation.
  • The Biden administration and Democrats are forcing masks onto children struggling to return to normal.
  • Democrats forced children out of school, causing irreparable damage.
  • National test results in elementary school math and reading have plummeted to levels we have not seen in more than two decades.

The bottom line:

Americans cannot give Democrats the opportunity to further hurt students and parents alike. Come November they need to elect Republicans, who support students and parents.

Barnes Is Too Extreme For Wisconsin

Mandela Barnes is a far-left radical who supports policies that will only hurt workers, families, and small businesses.

What you need to know:

The bottom line:

74% of Americans say the U.S. is on the wrong track . In order to get the country back on track, Wisconsinites cannot send Barnes and his radical agenda to the Senate in November.
