Dr. Tucker’s Neuropathy Advice

Salamanders Have Answers to Neuropathy?

How do Salamanders with amputated limbs regrow them? Recent research from Anoop Kumar, et al. describes that within the limb is nerves, glands, blood vessels and stem cells. Limb growth requires signaling from the nerve and blood vessels upstream. Blood and nerves are absolutely required for blood vessels to form. If a Salamander (or a person) are trying to grow new tissue, one of the biggest hurdles is to grow new blood vessels into that tissue, to reperfuse that tissue. If you have nerve growth you can get new blood vessel growth and then healthy tissue regeneration.

Many diabetic patients have peripheral neuropathy. Diabetes causes blood vessels to become leaky and damaged. Leaky vessels don’t perfuse the tissue properly and damage the nerves (which may die). As nerves are dying from vessel damage, disease, or dysfunction, signs include numbness, tingling, prickling, burning sensations, shooting pain, muscle weakness or atrophy, in the affected area. Neuropathies frequently start in your hands and feet, but other parts of your body can be affected too.

If you have nerve growth you are able to get new blood vessel growth and then tissue regeneration.

Shockwave Therapy

A way to relieve neuropathy pain is with sessions using shockwave therapy. Shockwave is non-invasive and a less costly approach to stem cell injections. Focused extracorporeal shockwave therapy is also an effective and noninvasive treatment method for mild to moderate carpal

tunnel syndrome.

Winback TECAR Therapy

Another way to relieve neuropathy pain is sessions using Winback’s TECAR therapy. This therapy improves circulation and blood vessel perfusions. TECAR deep heat therapy aids in creating increased blood flow that helps ‘Mother Nature’ speed up the healing process.

Peripheral Electro Magnetic Frequency (PEMF)

Another way to relieve neuropathy pain is sessions using Peripheral Electro Magnetic Frequency (PEMF) and photo-biomodulation LASER. PEMF (magnet therapy) is great for pain, anxiety and moods. PEMF works on the microcirculation, helps relax tight muscles, and helps you focus on breathing.
