The city of Rosenberg will host the first-ever "Touch-A-Truck" event on Saturday, May 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Rosenberg Civic Center located at 3825 Hwy 36 S, Rosenberg, TX 77471.
Touch-A-Truck is a free event that will showcase a variety of trucks and heavy equipment from the City and surrounding agencies.
Participating Vehicles Include:
- Fire Vehicles (Rosenberg Fire Department)
- Police Vehicles (Rosenberg Police Department)
- Bearcat (Fort Bend County Regional SWAT Team)
- Helicopter (Fort Bend County Sheriff)
- School Bus (Lamar CISD)
- Ambulance (Fort Bend County EMS)
- Backhoe (Rosenberg Public Works Department)
- Dump Truck (Rosenberg Public Works Department)
- Skid-steer (Rosenberg Public Works Department)
- Bucket Truck (Rosenberg Utilities Department)
- Mini Excavator (Rosenberg Utilities Department)
- Tractor (Rosenberg Parks Department)
- Pressure Washing System (West Houston Pressure Washing)
- Garbage Truck (Republic Services)
Children and adults of all ages are invited to explore the equipment with guidance from the equipment operators who will be on hand to explain and showcase the features of the vehicles. Please note: some vehicles scheduled to attend may not be present if activated for official use.
For children with sensory sensitivities, a quiet hour will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with no loud noises or flashing lights allowed. To make the day even more fun, the Salt & Light BBQ Food Truck and Mary Had A Little Party Ice Cream Trailer will be available with good food and treats to purchase for your enjoyment!
