Springing Up New Events
Spring has arrived with it new opportunities for you to keep supporting CARES!

Our inaugural CARES National Golf Classic is open for registration. This unique tournament allows you to play from any golf course in the world and compete in our scramble, thanks to our friends at GolfStatus and their innovative app. Sign up now and play with your favorite foursome anytime you like between April 15 and May 15!

We're teaming up with Scott Williams, a current glioblastoma patient, to Erase the Trace. Glioblastoma or GBM is considered the most aggressive form of brain cancer, and Scott is biking all 444-miles of the Natchez Trace to raise awareness and funds for GBM research. He'll be joined by CARES' cyclist Johnny Burrell on this meaningful adventure from Natchez, MS to Franklin, TN. You can bike along from home or donate to support Scott's fundraising efforts.

Our peer-to-peer fundraising events are in full swing! We're teaming up with supporters across the country to organize Steps to Stop Cancer 5ks and Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer™ events from Maine to Alaska, and empower people everywhere to join us on our mission to turn cancer upside down™.

Returning to the Oval in Lake Placid
Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer™ Lake Placid celebrated its second year differently than its first, pivoting to a virtual 5k! Our participants walked, ran, skated, biked, and even snow shoed 5 kilometers independently to support CARES cancer research and our healthcare partners at Adirondack Health.

With the leadership of our Board Ambassador, Olympic Silver Medalist Paul Wylie, the Lake Placid community came together (virtually!) to raise over $12,000. These funds support CARES' NCI-accredited research partners and the Merrill Oncology Travel Fund at Adirondack Health, helping cancer patients in this mountainous region cover travel expenses related to their lifesaving treatments.
