Dear Friends,

This has been another unprecedented summer as sports and entertainment venues welcome in-person activities, restaurants open to full capacity, and mandates become more relaxed. We hope that as California continues to open up the economy that you remain cautious and protected as you enjoy some of the things that help you stay connected to your loved ones and your communities. Remember that our Division is here to continue serving and connecting you and your families to resources and services you might need during this pandemic.  Click HERE to learn more on veteran updates on COVID-19.

If you are in need of services such as housing, employment, food, or others, please reach out to us. We have partners focused on delivering services to you and we can connect you to them. For those of you getting ready to go back to school, or with children at home going back to school, the state department of education has resources for you and your family and you can check them out HERE

The Coast Guard will be celebrating its 251st birthday on August 4 and we especially honor those who chose to serve in this small, yet diverse and “Always Ready” branch of the U.S. Armed Forces.  The Coast Guard’s top officer, Admiral Karl L. Schultz, laid out a “dedicated campaign” to improve diversity in the US Coast Guard. The branch is starting from it’s top ranks at the US Coast Guard Academy with 37.2 percent of full-time undergraduates identifying as a minority. As a trailblazer towards this diversity, Captain Michael A. Healy set the path as being the only African American to have command in the late 1800’s. Click HERE to learn more.

As always, we are happy to be of service and welcome you to contact us anytime.
