Summer Conditioning and Choreography Clinics

Sessions will be held at Sugartown Elementary on Sundays from 11AM - Noon and Thursdays from 6:30-7:30PM. The first session is Thursday, June 16 and the last on July 28th. There is no session on Father's Day, June 19th.

The summer conditioning choreography clinics will be for athletes who are interested in training and enhancing their strength in anticipation of the fall sports season. These clinics are not inclusive of only cheerleaders, but for all boys and girls who want to get back outside and work out with other athletes. There will be a focus on exercises and drills for strengthening muscles used for cheer, but also benefits all athletes.

Registration is open. For questions, please contact cheer@gvco.org.
Fall Cheer for Gr. K-1

Flag football cheerleaders will learn cheers, dance and jumps. They will cheer during the flag football games and perform at half time to all fans. They will also do other voluntary community events to perform to the community, and specifics will be communicated as they are scheduled.

Each week, there will be a one hour long practice at a location within the Great Valley School District. The season starts in early August and goes until the last flag football game of the season. Games are typically held on Saturday mornings.

Registration is open.
Fall Cheer for Grades 2-6

The Junior Patriots Cheer Program for grades 2-6 combines sideline cheer for football and basketball with competitive cheer where the athletes will compete in competitions in the local area. The athletes will spend time on the fundamentals of stunting, learn a competition routine, condition, work on tumbling and learn cheers for football and basketball. They will also do other voluntary community events to perform to the community, and specifics will be communicated as they are scheduled.
Each week, there will be a two hour and a half long practices at a location within the Great Valley School District between August and early November. The season starts in early August. The athletes will cheer at home tackle football games during the fall, which are typically held on Sunday mornings through the last weekend of October. There will be approximately two competitions during the fall on the weekend.

Once football games and competitions are over, the athletes drop to one practice a week to continue to work on stunting and learn basketball cheers. They will cheer at GVBL tournament team games. During basketball season, the schedule is significantly reduced to allow for the cheerleaders to also play for GVBL or other winter sports. The cheer season will wrap up in February.

Registration is open.
Summer GVBL
GVBL Summer Rec League
GVBL Summer league skills assessments are complete. Rosters and schedules will be available on or about June 10th. We are looking forward to starting the season on Monday.

Please note that players will be placed on a team regardless of attendance at a skills session.

Referees Needed

We pair young student referees with adult referees until they become more comfortable with refereeing the games. We pay the student referees $10 per game - think Wawa or gas money. We pay the adult referees $10 per game - think coffee or beer money. The referees doing the Boys HS division games get paid a little more because the level of play is much greater...but not nearly the going rate for this level game.

Students who will be in grades 8-12 for Fall 2022 can complete a Student Referee Interest Form.

Interested adults can complete an Adult Referee Interest Form.
Fall Flag and Tackle Football
Registration is open for K-1 Flag Football. The season begins in mid-September and lasts until early November. Games are one hour long and will be played on Saturday mornings at GVCO, 51 N. Bacton Hill Rd., Malvern

Registration is open for Fall 2022 Tackle Football for Grades 2-6. The Great Valley Junior Patriots is an instructional youth football program for area kids in grades 2-6. The purpose of the program is to create a fun experience for kids, playing and learning the game of football while competing with their peers in surrounding programs.

This year's registration includes a required personalized game-day jersey and game-day pants - includes padding. Players will own/keep these items at the end of the season and can reuse for future seasons, if they choose. Equipment hand-out and uniform sizing dates will be communicated by your head coach.
