Tell us about HCA Palms West Hospital: HCA Florida Palms West Hospital has been serving the western communities of Palm Beach County since 1986. We are a 204-bed acute care hospital with a dedicated Women’s and Children’s Center. We specialize in orthopedic and spine care services, maternity, Level II neonatal series, and minimally-invasive and robotic surgery including general, GYN, urology, thoracic, orthopedic, colorectal, and surgical oncology.

Does HCA Palms West Hospital have a Mission/Vision?
At Palms West Hospital we’re dedicated to the mission of HCA Healthcare. “Above all else, we’re committed to the care and improvement of human life.

Tell us about your management team:
The leadership team at HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is comprised of more than 60 professionals in their field that work collaboratively to bring the best patient care experience. Calling our team a ‘family’ is not a cliché in our hospital. We treat each other with great respect and professionalism, and we have a lot of fun, which truly makes Palms West a great place to work.

Why did you decide to join the Chamber?
Palms West has been part of the Glades community for more than 36 years. Many of our patients make the trip east from the area to visit our highly trained, board-certified specialists and seek care in our hospital. It only makes sense that we take an active role in the community in which we serve.

Is there something special you would like to share about HCA Palm West Hospital?
Yes, HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is proud to announce that it will be opening a multispecialty medical practice in the Glades community this fall. The practice will provide board-certified physicians in the fields of orthopedics, vascular surgery, colorectal surgery, maternal/fetal medicine, and obstetrics and gynecology to the office on South Main Street on a rotating schedule to serve the Glades and complement the great care being provided by Lakeside Hospital and Hendry Regional Medical Center.

Name a “fun fact” about the business:
HCA Florida Palms West Hospital has been ranked in the top ten percent in the nation by Healthgrades for patient safety for the past five consecutive years.
We are expanding our emergency room and dedicated pediatric emergency room to add 4,400 sq. ft. of space, renovate the existing areas and add 12 beds to the ER. We’ve also begun the expansion of our neonatal intensive care unit to a level III NICU, which will allow us to care for the most medically fragile infants and keep them here at the hospital with their mothers for treatment after birth.

A Word from the
Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller
Purchasing a Home in Palm Beach County? We Can Help You Protect Your Investment
If you’re purchasing a new home in Palm Beach County – whether it’s your first time or you are upgrading or downsizing – the Clerk’s office has you covered with vital services to help protect your investment.
Our office has three easy-to-use resources to help protect your home from fraud and make sure that you aren’t overpaying for services. Florida is one of the hottest housing markets in the country, and criminals may use the fast sale of property as an opportunity to strike.
Here are some tips to consider as you settle into your new home.

Tip #1: Sign up for Property Fraud Alerts. After you’ve unpacked a few essentials, the first step to protecting your home is signing up for our free Property Fraud Alert system. This automated tool monitors your name in our Official Records system. Whenever a document is recorded in Palm Beach County, you will get an alert within 48 hours detailing what was recorded. It’s an important first step in staying vigilant and signing up is simple: Just register on our website with an email address.

Tip #2: Don’t overpay for a copy of your deed or other records. Many new homeowners receive official-looking notices that they can help you get certified copies of records of your property deed, or other records, for as much as $89 for their services. You can view these documents for free on our website’s Official Records Search Portal and get hard copies from our office for $1 per page. Certified copies are an additional $2, much less than what these businesses charge.

Tip #3: Know your options about your property’s value. Every August, the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser notifies taxpayers of their property’s assessed and market values. If you feel the assessment, classification or exemption status for your property is not correct, you may file a petition with the Value Adjustment Board. Our office serves as Clerk to the VAB and is where you go should you choose to file a VAB petition.
The Clerk’s office congratulates you on your new home. Our team is committed to providing you with outstanding service and keeping you informed. We have five offices to serve you including locations in Delray Beach, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Royal Palm Beach and Belle Glade in addition to many services available online 24 hours a day. Sign up for our monthly newsletter and follow us on social media at @ClerkPBC to stay up to date on everything we have to offer.
