A message from your Executive Director

THE WHY

BE THE CHANGE

I always knew the importance of sharing with others in a way that is empowering and inspiring. But how does one do that? Find a way to make connections, listen and learn from others, and truly love what you do. Those values are what brought me to FYIdaho, specifically in regards to working with our families and youth throughout the state . I am motivated to affect change where it is needed most. I find myself now, using that drive to make a difference in the way our world views so many "uncomfortable" topics and situations.

FYIdaho’s purpose is to be of service to others, a navigator and finder of solutions, a resource and guide. We are committed to our community and those who breathe life into the beauty of our culture. We help make connections of thought and experience. Why have I chosen to work in a field that is one of the most challenging I have come to know..... my answer, to bring hope, a direction for positive change and to represent an organization that cares about others every step of the way.

I have had the opportunity to be a part of changing the dialogue about mental health challenges. I am excited to work more closely with our community, our families and youth as the Executive Director of FYIdaho. To me, that is one of the best ways to make a difference; to be able to help others be stewards of their lives.

The "Why" is our most powerful asset.

Thank you all for being part of change.

Introducing Annika Rademacher

Community Engagement Youth Program Coordinator

Annika Rademacher [she/they] is our Community Engagement Youth Program Coordinator for FYIdaho. They graduated from Boise State University in December 2021 with a BS in Psychology and Addiction Studies. Annika is passionate about crisis intervention work and is particularly drawn towards working with youths in crisis as a result of their own childhood experiences with mental health. They enjoy using their own lived experiences to empower others and strive to act as an advocate for those still struggling.

Annika lives with their best friend/dog, Raja, and loves to take her on hikes and other adventures when it's warm outside. Annika enjoys spending their free time listening to podcasts, discovering new music, and testing out fun new makeup looks. They find joy in expressing their creativity and creating safe spaces for others to do the same. After work you can usually find Annika hanging out with Raja while enjoying a cup of hot tea and an episode of Modern Family or Drag Race.
