2020 Hall of Fame Inductee: Andy Donahoe |

Mississippi Concrete Association is pleased to welcome Andy Donahoe as our 2020 Hall of Fame inductee. Andy has dedicated his whole career to the sand and aggregate industry and the concrete industry. Andy will be recognized at our Hall of Fame Banquet next week on July 14, 2021.
Andy was born and raised in Crystal Springs, Mississippi where he graduated from Crystal Springs Consolidated School in 1969, and attended Copiah Lincoln Community College and the University of Southern Mississippi. Andy began working for Green Brothers Gravel Company in 1976 as a general manager and today is President and is celebrating his 45th year of service to Green Brothers as President of the company.

MCA was an exhibitor at the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Northeast Mississippi “Home Expo” on April 9-10, 2021 in Tupelo, Mississippi. An outstanding crowd of 1,500 people attended the two-day event that was also supported by MCA Producer Member B & B Concrete, who provided the concrete for a demonstration of the beauty of Polished and scored concrete. A Message From Our Executive Director |
The summer has been very busy for us at MCA! This newsletter is full of news of great recent events and things that are to come. Please read the article where MCA had a very successful Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) Roundtable in Pensacola with over 65 people in attendance!
MCA will also host the construction of a safe room at our office and we will use this to demonstrate how a safe room is constructed and the many benefits of building out of concrete. We should have dates set in the coming weeks!
In addition, MCA has a GREAT time set up for you at the upcoming Neshoba County Fair with MCA’s “Fair Days” so read the below article for more details.

MCA "Fair Days" at the Neshoba County Fair |
MCA is hosting our annual “Fair Days” during the Neshoba County Fair. The dates for this year are July 28-29, 2021 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at Cabin #118. We will serve GREAT food, GREAT fellowship and a place to cool down as we listen to politicians speak or watch the harness racing at the track. Bring your family and enjoy the day!

Glyn Porter Memorial Golf Tournament |

Save the date for our Glyn Porter Memorial Golf Tournament on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Dancing Rabbit Golf Course in Philadelphia, Mississippi. MCA members are encouraged to invite local legislators, elected officials, customers and friends to play on their teams. Registration and breakfast begin at 8 am followed by a shotgun start at 9:30 am. Lunch is included and prizes will be presented at the conclusion of the tournament. Dancing Rabbit gift certificates will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers, closest to the pin and longest drive. For those who plan to come the night before, join MCA for a cocktail reception followed by dinner on your own.
