A Faithful Friends gathering during afternoon tea
Last month, Faithful Friends, women who participate in Women of the ELCA's monthly giving program, enjoyed an exclusive afternoon tea. Live music was provided by Rachel Kurtz, a friendship presentation was led by Rozella Haydee White, Eva James Yeo demonstrated a creative project, small group time was offered to connect with other donors, and a DIY tea was explained by Linda Post Bushkofsky. Also, testimonies by executive board members Lynette Todd and Jennifer Armstrong-Schaefer were included. Kristina Diaz provided Spanish translation.

The event, designed and produced by Elizabeth McBride, ended with an invitation to increase monthly giving to Faithful Friends and a request that each attendee invite a friend to become a Faithful Friend.

Currently, 186 women participate in the monthly giving program.

Did you miss a training event?
Five online training sessions for leaders of synodical women's organizations were held in April and May. These trainings helped equip women to better answer the call to elected leadership in Women of the ELCA.

Recordings of the five sessions are available on the Tools for Leaders page of our website.

To learn more about servant leadership, see the materials and videos from For Such a Time as This, the 2022 leadership event that generated these training sessions.
Watch the video accompanying Session 1 of "Crafted in Christ"
Readers are enjoying a three-session Bible study that uses the concept of quilting to explore rest, renewal, and Christian community. It's the summer study offered through Gather magazine. The study is offered free online, so it's a wonderful way to test out a Gather Bible study.

June 2022, Session 1: “A summer of rest and renewal,” focuses on choosing patterns and re-assessing the shape of our lives. We find life-giving patterns in worship, sabbath, and service. View the June 2022 video supplement.
