Insurance Memberships
Looking to save on your membership? Check with your health insurance company and see if they offer a third party program to help cover the cost of your membership!

Members must confirm with their insurance provider and enroll in eligible program prior to enrolling in an insurance-based membership at the YMCA. Member Services is not able to determine your insurance program eligibility based on insurance type. An enrollment number, or Confirmation code may needed before membership is opened. Member Services is unable to obtain this number for the member.

Effective 1/1/2022

The Winona Family YMCA will begin accepting One Pass memberships.

UCare Senior plans will be changing from SilverSneakers* to
the One Pass**

Medica seniors will not offer Silver Sneakers* and will be offering the One Pass* program.

Silver Sneakers* is not a program the Winona Family YMCA accepts

**One Pass is a program you have to sign up for under Renew Active. Please note: This change is only for Medica Senior/Medicare members.

Health Partners is changing from Silver&Fit to the SilverSneakers* program for their seniors.

Due to many changes with the insurance and third party program memberships, we ask for your patience as our staff learn and understand these new and changing programs.

Policies & Rates
Please note that effective January 1, 2022, the following changes will take effect. In order for the YMCA to continue to operate at the standard of excellence our members have come to enjoy, the Board of Directors has approved a modest increase to membership dues, due to the increased cost of operations. New rates will be: Young Adult - $38, Adult - $50, One Adult Family - $58, Two Adult Family - $82, Older Adult - $44. In addition, if payment for membership is not received by the end of the month, the membership will be cancelled before the first of the following month, with a late fee of $7.50 added. Members with a balance noted on their account can not rejoin, enter the facility, or participate in programs until the balance is paid, or a payment plan has been established.

What’s your favorite thing to do at the Y? I really like stretch and flex class.

Favorite YMCA moment: There was a young mom who utilized our financial aid program which allowed her to come and drop her child in Kids Corner. She would use this time to do her homework. She was able to finish her degree and get better employment.

What do you do and enjoy doing when you are not working? I like to knit, play music, go to the movies, go on a leisure bike ride and hang out with my family.

How long have you worked for the Winona Family YMCA? 2 years this December

Tell me a little about what you do at the YMCA:
Member Services Lead, I work at the front desk helping members and guests with accounts and questions.

What is it that makes you enjoy working at the Winona YMCA?
I enjoy the great, supportive work environment, but the members make my job the most enjoyable and fun.

What’s your favorite thing to do at the Y? I like to utilize the whirlpool, steam room, and 24/7 Access.

Favorite YMCA moment: I guess I don't have just one, but I like the multiple YMCA moments when I start getting to know the members that I don't already know. Just getting on a first name basis feels like an accomplishment, and I really do enjoy it. The ongoing progression of unacquaintedness to familiarity is a great feeling.

What do you do and enjoy doing when you are not working? I'm literally always working, but the few hours I get off, I LOVE listening to music, reading, or hanging out with friends.

Fun Fact about you: I'm a huge Bruce Springsteen fan, and I collect vintage pens... or really any nice pen.
