Animal Cruelty Cases
Lakeway Police Department investigators are seeking the public's assistance with multiple animal cruelty cases. An unknown person(s) abandoned four golden retriever dogs on separate occasions over the past few months in the area of Clubhouse Drive and Duck Lake Drive. The dogs were malnourished and suffering from mange. All four dogs were recently being cared for by two local rescues. Abandoning an animal is a violation of Texas Law under Animal Cruelty Section 42.092, and is a Class A Misdemeanor for each animal abandoned. If you have any information about these incidents or the unknown subject(s), please contact Lakeway Police/Animal Cruelty Investigations Officer Andrea Greig at (512) 261-2852 or [email protected].
