Graduation Success Plan Award
The Dr. Johnny & Jana Trotter Agriculture Graduation Success Plan was developed in 2018 by Dr. Johnny & Mrs. Jana Totter of Hereford, TX.
The success plan in unlike traditional scholarship programs that provide funds to students upfront and throughout their academic career. The Dr. Johnny and Jana Trotter Success Plan provides funds in a lump sum once the student graduates from the Department of Agricultural Sciences, in the allotted time frame of four years, with a GPA of 2.5, and involvement/membership in at least one student organization.

West Texas A&M University’s horse judging teams successfully closed out their season with high rankings at national and world championships this month! One WT team was named champion at the National Reining Championship on Nov. 1 in Oklahoma City, OK. At the American Quarter Horse Association World Championship on Nov. 7, WT’s teams ranked third and sixth overall, topping teams from near and far.
“This completes a pretty spectacular year for our horse judging teams,” said Dr. John Pipkin, Regents Professor and Director of WT’s Equine Industry Program. “They showed remarkable growth over the season, and this positions our teams as competitors to be reckoned with in years to come.”
WT's American Chemical Society Gives Back
The WT American Chemical Society volunteered at the High Plains Food Bank recently and helped prepare 8,200 meals.

WT Agriculture Represented at Texas State Fair

This year at the State Fair of Texas, the WT Agriculture Department assisted with stalling, Heifer papers verification, and show ring stewardship.

2nd Annual Turkey Trot!
Thank you, to all of those who came and participated in our 2nd Annual Turkey Trot!
We were able to provide 133 Thanksgiving Meals to those in need through Faith City Mission, in Amarillo.
Special thanks to the WT Cross Country program for allowing use of their course.
