Glenna Phelps-Aurich, Executive Director of the Logan County Chamber of Commerce, presented the Business of the Week award to Infinity Rose Security LP of Sterling - Brian Meeker, Cody Meeker, Jada Gentry and Todd Meeker.
….Infinity Rose Security LP is a locally owned and operated security business located in downtown Sterling. The company was formed by brothers Brian and Todd Meeker in August of 2020. At that time, it was a simple security company operated out of Brian’s garage. In March 2022, they opened an office lat 208 N. 3rd St. and have expanded to include three more employees.
… Meeker brothers always knew they wanted to open a business with the mindset of helping their community and providing a service that was needed but not already here in the community. Both brothers had several years of experience in the security and law enforcement field. The name Infinity Rose Security LP was born from: “infinity” where they wanted their clients to know their service was continuous and always there, and “rose” to honor and carry on their recently passed mom’s legacy.
…Infinity Rose Security LP has done security for several businesses in Sterling and has now expanded to include event security. Brian was a former member of the Logan County Sheriff’s Posse. He gained experience working events for that organization and learned how events were run and what type of security was needed for each.
…Brian and Todd went to the Logan County Commissioners and had themselves vetted so they could cover events in Logan County. They also familiarized themselves with local law enforcement agencies and learned what was expected of them when they worked events. Infinity Rose Security LP events include July Jamz, Sugar Beet Days, Logan County Tractor Pull and several weddings.
…Their business is in good standing with the state and their community. They offer a wide range of security services from business security, event security, business investigations, employee and personal background checks, as well as mobile security patrol.
…Infinity Rose Security wants their clients to feel like family when they use their services. They strive to give them high quality professional service in a family type environment dedicated to client service and satisfaction. The company’s future plans are to add a fugitive recovery division with a bondsman located on site.
…Infinity Rose Security LP office at 208 N. 3rd St in Sterling, is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. or call them at (970)-526-6036 or (970)-580-4944

Finding Good Employees
Prior to its opening, I was asked to visit a franchise to evaluate the new crew. I discovered the team members were bland, boring, and reticent. None of them were customer-focused. Without that focus, in particular, the store would fail disastrously. When I asked the small business owner why he hired them, he explained that with a background of hiring for a set of convenience stores, “I just wanted to be sure they wouldn’t steal from me.” While the chances of a great hire are about 50%, many employers continue to pick the wrong employee over and over. How does it happen?
