In Matthew 5, Jesus tells us that He has come not to abolish the Law, but to fulfill it. What exactly does that mean? In the series of examples that follow this statement, Jesus shows us that the purpose behind the Law is what is important. Come on Sunday and find out what that purpose is.

It's Super Bowl season - and that means the youth of Saint Mark are preparing for their “Souper Bowl of Caring” special alms offering! This year's donations will be divided between Golden Corner Food Pantry and Our Daily Bread.

The youth will collect alms donations in their soup pots during worship services this Sunday. You may also mail in a check marked “Souper Bowl” to the church or donate online.

As always, thank you for your generous support.

ANDY AND LISI TO CONTINUE

LEADING MINISTRIES!

It is with great joy that I announce to you that the Staff Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) voted unanimously last week to change Andy Campbell and Lisi Campbell's positions from interim part-time to permanent part-time Director of Youth Ministry and Director of Children's Ministry, respectively.

When Andy and Lisi were hired, we agreed that we would have a three month "get-acquainted" period to determine if everyone felt the part-time arrangement was a good one. We have received such positive feedback from children and youth and their parents during those three months.

Andy and Lisi also indicate that they are enjoying this work and feel that we are moving both programs in the right direction. Attendance has increased and enthusiasm is high.

Please join me in thanking Andy and Lisi for agreeing to remain in their roles of directing our children and youth. We are truly fortunate to have them and look forward to working with them for many years to come.
