Earth Day Fairfax attendees are welcome to join the much-anticipated celebration of the exciting unveiling of the Wonder Wagon vehicle at 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Sully Historic Site. (See above.)


Thereafter, this first Mobile Nature Center will be on display for the remainder of Earth Day Fairfax!

Art Sale at Earth Day to Help Parks!

A dedicated FCPA volunteer registered as an Earth Day Fairfax Vendor to host an Art Sale as part of Earth Day Fairfax on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Sully Historic Site! (See above.)


Proceeds will be donated to FCPF to support a paid high school internship with the Natural Resource Department Branch of the Fairfax County Park Authority.


A large variety of art including photographs, paintings, drawings, and decorative art created by local amateur and well-known professional artists will be available.


Two Large panoramas will be sold through a Silent Auction.

Pricing ranges from $10 - $300.

Convenient on-site payment options include Cash, Venmo, and PayPal!

View the Solar Eclipse in your parks!

Don’t miss out on the unique opportunity to view a solar eclipse with the Fairfax County Park Authority. The Park Authority has prepared extraordinary eclipse viewing activities at locations throughout the county on April 8, 2024.


Join us for a safe viewing experience that will include both pre- and post-eclipse activities, games, and demonstrations.


Monday, April 8, 2024 viewing event locations include:


Event admission is $10 per person. Each location will have a limited number of eclipse-viewing glasses, and sun-spotting scopes will be available to view the eclipse thanks to donations from the Fairfax County Park Foundation.


Participants are encouraged to bring portable chairs and blankets

Saddle Up for Fun at the 2024 Horse Expo at Frying Pan Farm Park on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.


This event is for everyone – experienced riders, beginners, and anyone who loves horses or hopes to become a rider!


Admission to the Horse Expo is free, pony rides are $10 per rider.

The Culmore Community Day returns to the Woodrow Wilson Library on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Join the celebration with hundreds of your neighbors in what has become one of the most anticipated community gatherings of the year. The fun includes children's activities, live music, folklore dancers, animals, giveaways, and more!


Culmore Community Day was created over seventeen years ago as a multicultural celebration by the global communities of Bailey’s Crossroads and Culmore. The event unites the community and celebrates the diversity that makes us strong.
