The Prince George's County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association (PGCVFRA) will be holding their 100th Anniversary Convention Parade on Main Street in Downtown Upper Marlboro on Saturday, September 17th, 2022, from Noon-1pm.


This is a FREE event that the public is welcome to attend! There will be many fire trucks and emergency vehicles in the parade.


Traffic Alert: Main Street (MD725) & Water Street (MD717) will be closed from 1130am until 1pm for the parade.

Parking- Free Parking at the Water Street Parking lot & Governor Oden Bowie Drive on-street meters.

*This event is being held by the PGCVFRA and Marlboro VFD, not the Town of Upper Marlboro. The Town is simply assisting with traffic control.

Spider Man No Way Home (September 10th)

NEW PAVING DATE! -Starting next week-

The Maryland State Highway Administration has notified the Town that they will be repaving Water Street (MD 717) from the Show Place Arena to Main Street (MD 725) and the Rt. 4 Water Street exit ramps from Monday, Sept 12th thru Saturday, September 17th. All work will be done at night/after hours. Please plan ahead for traffic delays and possible temporary road closures on this roadway.


This is a separate project from the Water Street bridge replacement, which is currently undergoing final design, with construction starting in 2023. SHA is also working to rebuild the Ritchie Marlboro Rd exit ramp of Rt. 4, with estimated completion by December 2022.
