An Easter Offering

Now it was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them who told this to the apostles. But these words seemed to them an idle tale, and they did not believe them.

—Luke 24:10-11

God, let my imagination flourish. Stifle my suspicion. Teach my heart to believe in goodness again. Wash over me with your love that I may accept the gift of this joy. And I will let this joy heal me again. Amen.

Joy

Easter is not the end of the story! It is the beginning. Having taken this time during Lent to focus on humility, curiosity, empathy, self-differentiation, play, and service, now begins the work of integration. How do all these separate disciplines come together in a new, transformed, transformable you?

The gift of Resurrection is the promise of new life — not just when you die, but today! Today is a new day, filled with possibility, growth, beauty, wonder. Let yourself smile. Try trusting in others and yourself. Be bold in believing out loud.

Blessing

Each week, we suggest to you a short moment of pause and prayer before you leave the house, or maybe even just when you get out of bed.
