WesternU College of Optometry graduate to return to the Navajo Nation as a health care provider
Western University of Health Sciences College of Optometry graduate Kaydee McCray, OD ’22, MSMS ’15, a member of the Navajo (Diné, Naabeehó) people, will soon begin a residency in ocular disease/primary care at the Gallup Indian Medical Center in Gallup, New Mexico, on the border of the Navajo Nation.

WesternU helps Pomona Kiwanis celebrate milestone
The Kiwanis Club of Pomona celebrated its 100th anniversary June 25, 2022 at Pomona Valley Mining Co. COMP faculty and students attended, including Chief Medical Officer Brian Loveless, DO '02, and Director of Outreach Tom Fox, MSHS, as did WesternU administrators and staff, including Chief Communications Officer Barbara O'Malley, EdD, MBA, and Chief of Community and Governmental Affairs Jeff Keating, MA, whose department sponsored the event. Patricia Lozano, Director of Operations & Outreach for the WesternU Office of Institutional Engagement, Planning, & Effectiveness, is the Pomona Kiwanis Club President-Elect and helped organize the event. WesternU Director of Communications Rodney Tanaka is a Pomona Kiwanis Club board member.
