Celebrate Juneteenth, on June 15, 6 - 11 PM
Since its inception in 1979 in Lincoln, the celebration has become an annual tradition. This event is family-friendly and welcomes all community members to join in the festivities. There will be a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, kids zone, health fair, entertainment from the 402 Band, a family fun walk and more.
A community event that brings together people from all walks of life to celebrate a major historical milestone, the event is free and open to the public. Check out the schedule of events here.

Healthy Food, Healthy Neighborhoods
NeighborWorks Lincoln is a non-profit organization that supports a healthy community by working to revitalize and unite neighborhoods and promote home ownership, making Lincoln a safe and prosperous place to live.
Their May event, Learn and Feast, did just that by bringing together over 100 neighbors to discuss food and culture and plant gardens.
Join them for food and fun at their upcoming Village Square celebration on June 7 that
will recognize those who made Antelope Creek Village, Antelope Square and the Community Build house possible.

Partnership for a Healthy Lincoln hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony May 16 to dedicate the first-ever Streets Alive community development project, a covered outdoor shelter in Belmont Park.

Streets Alive! part of a great weekend of fun in September
Street Alive! will be part of an active Lincoln week starting off with the LPD Catch a Cop Kids Fun Run on Sept. 21 in Mahoney Park. South central Lincoln will come together to celebrate Streets Alive! on Sept. 22 in the South Salt Creek and South Downtown area, the Lincoln Calling Music Fest from Sept. 18-22, and the Lincoln Arts Festival from Sept. 21-22 in the downtown area. Look for a great mix of fitness, music and art!
We encourage everyone to bike, walk, skate, or trolley between these special events to enjoy a beautiful, active, and festive week. Watch future e-newsletters for more details.
