Art Changes Lives
WHAT'S NEW AT ARTSTART
Greetings!

Your interest and support has helped Artstart to reach hundreds of young artists during this pandemic. We have worked with local schools and developed distance learning projects to facilitate creative expression and collaboration in a time when it is needed the most.

Meanwhile, we have also modified our apprenticeship sessions. These safe, one-on-one mentorships have been expanded into a year-round program.

February session -- the fourth session in our new and improved program! -- begins this week and we have a number of exciting projects lined up, including mosaic stepping stones, address posts, and painted distance learning murals.

Recology

"GROW WITH US" MURALS

"Recology commissioned Artstart to create two murals in Santa Rosa and Petaluma. The garden murals compliment the Recology employee-ownership business model. The creation is in the hands of the employees as Artstart distributes art kits to employees one flower at a time, employees paint with guidance via YouTube instructors. Artstart and Elsie Allen students will complete final assembly. These murals will be a showcase of collaboration and creativity in a time when it's most needed."

General Manager at Recology
CUSTOM MOSAICS
Our apprentices have been working hard on a number of custom mosaic commissions. The most popular item has been made-to-order mosaic address posts. Your choice of glass or tile, color scheme, and basic design. Each piece is one of a kind, hand made and designed by our exceptionally talented apprentices.
Mosaic is a unique skill for any artist to have, let alone a teenager! Your custom commission directly supports their training in this medium. Contact us to place an order today!
