Forum Receives Non-Profit Recycler of the Year Award
The Washington State Recycling Association awarded the Spokane River Forum it’s non-profit recycler of the year award for outstanding contributions to expanding and strengthening recycling and waste prevention.
Forum Executive Director Andy Dunau accepted the award. Said Dunau, “Collaborating with the Spokane County’s Recycle Task Force is the secret sauce behind our incredibly popular waste and recycle directory and social media campaigns.” Spokane County Regional Solid Waste System, City of Spokane, Waste Management, Ecology, and others are task force leaders.
Recycle Right Animations Lighting Up Social Media and Internet
“Adorable,” “stinkin cute,” and “fun” are some of the adjectives describing the Forum’s Recycle Right 15-second animations now playing on Facebook, Instagram, web sites and web apps. A big thanks to Cutboard Studios for producing. Check ‘em out.
Spokane-Kootenai Waste and Recycle Directory Continues Exponential Growth
The power of individual stewardship works!! 20 to 25% of households in our region are using the directory to put waste in the right place and recycle right. No other region in Washington or Idaho has this exceptional tool. It’s built on a simple premise: people want to do the right thing … our job is to help them do it.
