Our last Chamber Mixer of the season is coming up on May 16 at

La Casa Del Zorro, 4 - 6 PM. Invites are out, please RSVP.

It's a wrap on the Chamber Certified Farmers Market

for the season. After battling uncertain weather the entire season,

I'm happy to say it was our best season ever with 30 vendors.

However we are all ready for a break.

My focus now shifts to the new 24-25 visitors guide, Borrego Days

and other Chamber matters.

Be on alert for the movie shoot coming to town starting this week.

This is a very big production and they will probably be filming

for the next month. Note road closures posted below.

Starting May 15, hours for the Gallery at The Borrego Art Institute will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 10 to 4

Big Horn Burgers and Shakes closes on April 30

Palm Canyon Hotel and RV Resort closes on May 31

Beginning June 3, The Springs' RV Office and Golf Pro Shop will be open from 7 AM to 3 PM daily.

Sunday, May 12 (10:00 am - 2:00 pm) - Please expect delays

Hwy S-22 - Montezuma Valley Rd. from Palm Springs Rd to Mile Marker 16

- Closing the NB lane. Create two-way traffic with the existing two southbound lanes.

- Closure to be an hour + within this time frame

Sunday, May 12 (1:00 pm - 7:00 pm) - Detour

Full closure of Borrego Springs Rd from Hwy 78 to Yaqui Pass Rd - Access to Borrego Air Ranch from Yaqui Pass Road

- Expected closure to be 2 1/2 + hours

- This closure will not be simultaneous with the Montezuma Valley Rd Lane Closure.

May 15 and May 17, 2024 Montezuma Valley Road will be closed from 5 AM to

10 PM from Palm Canyon Drive to San Felipe Rd.

Full Road Closure of Montezuma Rd from Palm Canyon Drive to Mile Marker #6

Local access to Ranchita from San Felipe Rd to Mile Marker #6 ONLY

There will be No access to Ranchita from Borrego Springs while closure is in place

There will be No Access to Borrego Springs from Ranchita while closure is in place

Annual Hazardous Waste Removal

Anyone 65 years of age and older is provided one annual free home pickup of hazardous waste from the “Our One Earth” SD County Hazardous Waste Center at 877-713-2784 (if using a landline dial 1). For more information about what hazardous waste is, brochures are available at the Chamber.
