Dear Parents,

Over the past 2 Saturdays, our staff completed all-day training on the Frogstreet Curriculum, which we will begin to implement over the summer. We are so excited to have this wonderful program and to have received the $45,000 program free as part of a grant.

We are also exited to announce that we just received a $20,000 playground grant. We will be replacing some of our shade sails with three $6,000 shade structures. The remainder of the grant will be used to purchase 6 new bikes and wood puzzles for our toddler classrooms. We hope to have the shade structures installed by the end of June.

With summer around the corner, kids in our Early Childhood Program ages 1-4 are permitted to take up to 2 weeks off over the summer and not be billed if they do not attend. Children who have completed VPK and are staying here for kindergarten and children who have completed Kindergarten and First grade are not on a contract so they can opt to attend summer or take off as many weeks as they wish.

To ensure proper staffing, we must know before May 20th any weeks you wish to be credited for not attending. You will see starting Monday an easel outside my office with the summer/fall class lists on them. Please highlight the weeks you plan to take your vacation.

Please remember that families who will be remaining for fall will see the second of three $80 registration installments hitting their accounts. Just giving you a heads-up for those families on autopay.

Do you have an infant car seat you are done with? I am trying to help a parent of a 6 month old find one. Let me know and I will pass it along.

Finally, a big shout out and thank you to the families of Yellow Door for the Scrumptious Teacher Appreciation lunch they hosted this week. Our stomachs were filled with food and our hearts with love for your yummy treats. Next week the lunch will be sponsored by the Blue Door Families. There is a sign-up sheet outside the front door for Blue Door families who wish to sign up.
