Regina Families,
It’s time to check in! Last fall we focused on a culture of belonging. Ensuring that everyone feels they belong is a responsibility we all share. Over the last week I have had the privilege to be part of several discussions that have reminded me of our aim to ensure a sense of belonging this year and the vast scope of who that entails and what that truly means.
Today is Grandparents Day and the halls are filled with smiles from preschoolers to grandparents. The walls at Regina hold stories that are nearly 70 years old and classroom walls for the class of 2037. Regina students are third generation families and families new this year. Perhaps the most valuable range is sharing in the tradition of our faith alongside our mission to prepare tomorrow’s leaders.
What an incredible place to belong! May we all share the same spirit of joy and love with others that we witness in the grandparents visiting us today to ensure that everyone knows we belong here!
In Christ,

REGINA EARLY
CHILDHOOD CENTER
NEW
Here at the ECC the quote “April Showers, Bring May Flowers” has been heard and said by many students as they have examined our cold change in temperature and rainy days this week. We are looking forward to those sunny days and May flowers coming soon. In the meantime, we had more time for some indoor crafts and games.
Classroom Highlights:
-
Lambs- Decorated coffee filters to look like “Earth’s” to celebrate Earth Day and worked on their Earth workbooks, which included tracing practice and object identification.
-
Lions & Doves: Used recyclable items such as plastic bags, plastic bottle caps & shredded newspaper to make unique crafts to conclude the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Unit!
-
Eagles- Learned all about space with making: marshmallow constellations, name rocket ships, & a moon art experiment!
Grandparent’s Day was a wonderful celebration. We enjoyed eating finger sandwiches and side dishes with our loved ones. We value the Grandparents and Grand friends we all have in our lives as they make an important impact through their love, service, and comfort. Our next big adventure will be to Oaknoll East in which we will be completing a service project. We value giving back to our community and what a great place to start with residents so close to Regina! During our service project we will be assisting residents with some outdoor clean up through an activity themed scavenger hunt. On April 29th the Lambs/Eagles will travel to Oaknoll, while the Lions/Doves will be traveling on May 1st.
