With sadness in our hearts we pass along the news that Josh Smith, Crosstown's Director of Worship Arts, has resigned his position. Josh's final day of ministry with us will be Sunday, August 29. Originally, Josh came to Crosstown as a newly minted college grad in 2011 and served until 2016. Josh returned to Crosstown in 2018 and we have been blessed by his ministry. In this last season we've shared in the joy of Carrie and Josh as they've welcomed two boys to their family! Now, we thank the Smiths for their time with us and pray God's blessing on their family. Josh will be serving at another church in the Twin Cities.

On Sunday, July 18th, the congregation approved the proposal to complete the 2002 Sanctuary Renovation Project (SRP). The dollar amount was $79,322, $40,000 of which will come from a capital campaign. At this time about $8,000 is in an ongoing SRP fund, $3,500 has been pledged as one-time gifts, and monthly donations totaling $200/month have been pledged. We need your support for this project. Remember that all donations to the SRP must be in addition to regular giving.
Dennis Olson is in communication with the Contractor, Appro, for start and completion dates and is forming a group to discuss the logistics of moving services to the commons during the construction, which is expected to take a little over a month. More information will follow as firm dates are set.
