XChange 2021 selected submissions

We wish to thank the ISBNPA XChange 2021 reviewers. All abstracts were reviewed by 3 colleagues ensuring the quality of the research that will be presented at the June 8-10 meeting.

28 Symposia and over 420 abstracts were selected for ISBNPA XChange 2021 sessions (note presentations are prerecorded and some Q&A sessions will be live). We plan to release the final schedule by early May, but you can already prepare your recordings.

So, check your inboxes (spam inbox also) to learn if you were selected.

We are preparing the online platform, you can have a first look at it in the screenshot below.

Register for the conference until May 1 to get the early bird fee. This year the registration includes the ISBNPA 2021 membership, so click in the button above to register now.

ISBNPA
New: Young Adult Special Interest Group

A new ISBNPA SIG will bring together members who are interested in behavioural nutrition, physical activity and sedentary behaviour related to the young adult population (aged 16 to 35 years). Similar to other SIGs it will offer a range of activities, including professional development and regular member communication via an email newsletter.

The SIG is currently seeking enthusiastic ISBNPA members to join the Young Adult SIG’s leadership team. Members from all career stages can put their hand up (e.g. PhD students, early and mid-career researchers). Please see here for more information and to express your interest in joining the team. EOIs close on 5pm 30th April (AEDT).

If you don’t have the time to contribute to the leadership team, but are interested in being a general member (e.g. to receive the newsletter). Please add your details here
The SIG chair Dr Melinda Hutchesson, can also be contacted if you have any questions: melinda.hutchesson@newcastle.edu.au

The App

The ISBNPA App is a members-only service. Job postings, funding opportunities and advance posting on webinars, newsletters and other news are available in this closed community app.

ISBNPA is currently reconsidering the access to the app. All current members will keep access privileges. Non-members who have used the app in the last 9 months will also retain access. All others will be unregistered.

  • Please let us know if you have received an email from @disciplemedia.com about the ISBNPA App membership removal and you are a current member. We will reinstate immediately the access. Email António Palmeira about this.

If you are not an 2021 ISBNPA member, you can renew/join us by clicking HERE.

Webinar Season

In April ISBNPA is hosting 3 webinars (click on the texts below to learn more and register)

Society of Behavioral Medicine Position Statement

ISBNPA supports the Society of Behavioral Medicine Position Statement about the quality of meals of child nutrition programs during the pandemic.

Summary Statement
The Society of Behavioral Medicine recommends including more nutrient-dense foods in the Pandemic-EBT and SNAP benefit, as well as maintaining the meal pattern requirements of child nutrition programs to increase diet quality while also reducing food insecurity during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Learn more about this initiative HERE.

World Day for Physical Activity
April 6 was the World Day for Physical Activity and the United Nations' International Day of Sport Development and Peace.

After 14 months of the COVID-19 pandemic, physical activity, exercise, and sport are playing an increasingly important role for a better recovery and reopening of society.
ISBNPA acts everyday in support of the idea behind these initiatives.

Helping Out - Welness for Greatness Kenya
Wellness for Greatness Kenya has reach us to develop some joint initiatives promoting healthy and active lifestyles in Kenyan schools.

We are planning an initial preparatory meeting for mid-April. We are planning to help on developing methods to evaluate their initiatives in 3-12 years old students.

Do you want to participate in this process?
