"Serving Hunters' & Landowners' Needs Since 1987"
April 22, 2021

Greetings,

I hope this communication finds each of you doing well.

I want to take the opportunity to offer a big “Thank You” for our continued loyalty and support from our hunting clients. The past 13 months have tested the resolve of our country in more ways than anyone would have likely imagined. Between travel restrictions, public uncertainty, community fear, and general chaos, our American society has responded in a variety of ways, including our basic human need to connect and/or reconnect to our natural world. Camping, backpacking, boating, birdwatching, shooting sports, fishing, hunting, and various other activities that rely on outdoor settings, have all seen a huge up-tick in participation. Our biophilic DNA has been rejuvenated through the curse of COVID-19, providing a blessing for humans to more actively seek out the very things that shaped who we are as humans and Americans. We ALL need meaningful connections to the wild things and wild places that have become more distant from our societies, and our WSI team has enjoyed being part of this experience of those who have been seeking to connect with the outdoor world through their choosing our services as a platform in pursuing such opportunities.

I also tip my hat to our private landowners who generously offer the opportunity to work with us in allowing our clients the special occasion to enjoy the resources that those landowners steward. Private lands conservation is inextricably part of the complex conservation matrix and it’s important that the owners of these special places continue to be provided with the latitude to manage these important resources, including the incentives that are generated through free-enterprise markets which foster such conservation practices. WSI is blessed to work with some amazing properties and some amazing people that are part of those lands.

As evidenced in the photos that accompany this WSI Play-By-Play, we have remained busy over the last few months. As a whole, our hunts are going well. In looking at our calendar, the intensity of our pace will slow down a bit over the next few months, but we still have a fair bit on the books with some miscellaneous exotic hunts during that time-frame. I anticipate that we will be providing you with another PBP within the next 3-4 weeks.

Wishing you all good times with plenty of sunny slopes and green pastures.

Cheers,

Greg Simons
WSI Co-owner
