ROE 3rd Annual Student Photography Contest Continues

The ROE's 'WOW' Student Photo Contest is in full swing with 5 weeks in the books! In just 5 weeks, we've seen almost 300 submissions! 4 weeks remain in the contest and new photography classes are welcome to join the friendly competition anytime. On Thursday, December 15, the ROE will be hosting the student art reception with Batavia Enterprises at Water Street Studios in Batavia for an evening of appetizers, entertainment, and the celebration of amazing student photography. Contact the ROE for more information on the reception.


Institute Day 2017: Calling All Presenters!

Institute Day 2017 is shaping up to be an amazing experience. This year, the day will be hosted at 3 locations: West Aurora HS, Geneva HS, and Hampshire HS, on March 3th, 2017. The day will consist of Keynote speakers and Teacher Led Breakout Sessions. 

Interested in sharing your expertise and leading a breakout session? Teachers have until December 1st to submit their proposals.

Raising Student Achievement Conference

The Illinois Association of Regional Superintendents of Schools presents the Raising Student Achievement Conference. Join us on December 5-6 in St. Charles, IL. The conference is a fantastic opportunity to learn from educational experts and peers. You will get tips for improving and enhancing instruction and leave with practical ideas you can use the next day in the classroom.

November 30th - Mastering Information Literacy Workshop

In today's world, information about everything is available at our fingertips. It's important to know how to sift through all of this data to find resources, determine their value, and synthesize them meaningfully. Follett is partnering with Kane County ROE to offer a professional development course,  Mastering Information Literacy!  

In this session, we will explore four steps to help you build an information literacy project for your students and show you how Follett can help. The course will be held at the Kane County ROE office and will be from 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM
