Program Spotlight - Career Exploration Summer Academy
|
|
I n partnership with Tri-Parish Works, NTCC has presented a Career Exploration Summer Academy at the Lacombe Campus for 17- to 21-year-old youth. Over the course of the 6-week program, participants learned about careers including HVAC, electrical, health sciences, automotive, maritime technology, and information technology. Guest speakers provided food for a number of "Lunch & Learn" sessions where the speakers provided information about their fields and answered the participants’ questions about employment prospects, salaries, and the real-world experience of working in the various careers. Kudos to all of the NTCC Faculty & Staff who helped make the first Career Exploration Summer Academy a meaningful experience for the participants!
