Having fun with friends after school in extended care.

Happy Friday, everyone!

As of this writing we're on our way back from Boston. I'm pleased to say our 7th graders had an amazing experience. I'm most proud of how they conducted themselves. We experienced the Boston Tea Party Ships including a re-enactment of that fateful day. We explored several area churches as well as St. John's Seminary where our Rochester seminarians train to become priests. Our kids are incredibly polite and ask great questions! We learned a lot, ate well, and made a lot of memories.

May Crowning is next Friday. We ask two things of you for this day. First, please have every child bring a flower or flowering plant to present to Our Lady. This is one of the most beautiful traditions of the school and I want everyone to be able to participate. Secondly, it is considered a dress UP day. This means that students may opt out of wearing their uniforms IF they choose to dress in formal attire (which to me means wearing something they would wear for Easter). I hope to have some benefactors there with us. If you spot one, please don't hesitate to say hello and introduce yourself.

Congratulations to our Gala committee on an incredibly successful evening. While we continue to reconcile the gifts received, it is looking more and more like a record smashing event. I hope to have a firm number to share next week. One thing is clear, we are moving in the right direction. As you know, this place can not exist without independent support, so we thank our incredible community for their continued generosity!

Andy
