Healthy Active Living for Families

Hiking in the Rancho San Rafael Regional Park
Dear Reno Walkers,

Although wildfire smoke threatened Reno air quality in the days leading up to our event, on the morning of September 18, the air cleared and we gathered for our hike at the magnificent Rancho San Rafael Regional Park!

Our hike was led by Celia Walker, one of the wonderful Washoe County park rangers who lead many free events for Reno families. Visit their online calendar to find a future event right for you.

One of the best surprises on our hike were the gorgeous tunnel murals from artist Edwin Martinez-Escobar (photos below). Well worth a visit!

Before our hike, we listened to a great talk on Healthy Active Living for Families by Dr. Steven Shane. Watch the video here.
