Fostering Unity & Faithfulness in Shan State Churches

Dear Ministry Partners,

It is a great privilege to share what God is doing in some parts of the land, amidst such a tragic situation once again. The efforts of area leaders and teachers are very much appreciated for their commitment to training and serving the needy.

Pastor S, under the leadership of Pastor A in east Shan State, has started a new CCI class this month, which consists of twelve students. They meet weekly for two hours to study the Bible using CCI materials, starting with book #6.

According to Pastor S, he said: "When I explain the topic we're studying, I understand it more clearly than the students do. In fact, they also gain a deeper understanding of the lesson." Pastor S continued, "I've noticed that the church has become more united and warm after our regular Bible studies using the CCI training materials. I give thanks to God for the CCI ministry."

There are two missionary Bible schools that utilized CCI training materials for nine months, ultimately certifying students to become missionaries in their designated areas. One school has trained approximately fifty individuals, with over twenty graduates planting churches among various ethnic groups. While some of these churches are located in northern Shan State, unfortunately, they are being forced to leave the area due to attacks. Pray that new believers remain faithful to the Lord wherever they may be.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your constant prayer and faithful support for CCI Myanmar.

Staff Update

·      Pastor B and his family are doing good. Last month, I reported that one of the CCI graduates was arrested by the military junta, and Pastor B was working tirelessly to secure his release. Thankfully, he was finally freed two weeks ago. Praise God for answering the prayers of many. Also, due to the ongoing unrest in his areas, two of Pastor B's classes remain suspended.

·      Pastor M and his family are in good health. He works hard to feed the family and looks for an opportunity to reach the community with the good news.

·      Pastor Y and his family are doing good. He and local leaders are preparing a school building for students. They plan to start studying in the second week of July.

·      Pastor T and his family are good. It's a busy season for farmers, and as a result, his classes have only met twice this month. Despite the challenges, he remains active in communicating with friends and making new ministers, and he still finds joy in his ministry endeavors.

·      Pastor Z and his family have moved to another town for security reason. The people in the former town are now leaving the town due to attacks that started two weeks ago. God is good they are safe.

·      Pastor A and his family are good. He is very committed in the church ministry and CCI as well. We praise God for the new class that he has started this month.

·      Pastor S continues to do well in his weekly-based training class in central Myanmar, and he is thriving. Also in central Myanmar, the National Director met with teachers, who are all doing well so far.

Prayer points:

o  Pray for CCI area leaders, teachers and students to be faithful in what they are doing. They are seeking the will of God amid challenging situations and support the family as well.

o  Pray for the people in Myitkyina, Kachin state as they face a terrible flood that God will protect and provide the needs.

o  Pray for TTW in July. I expect five pastors will attend.

o  Pray also for the second DCPI seminar that will be held on July 18-20 during the holidays.

o  Pray for my children's education and the need for good health, wisdom and fees that only God can supply.

o  This devaluation of our support is drastically affecting our family’s food budget. We are asking the Lord to provide an increase of $250.00 per month to meet these basic needs. Please consider making a new monthly commitment today to help meet this need. We thank you in advance for your help.
