Culturally Responsive Planning for PLCs - July 27-28
This session will make connections between common PLC questions and/or structures, the six themes of CRE and the five planning questions outlined in Culturally Responsive Education in the classroom by Dr. Adeyemi Stembridge. Rooted in CSTP’s Teacher Leadership Framework it will also highlight the ways all teachers can elevate their leadership skills in order to work together for all students in all classrooms. Work with your team to explore how you and your PLC can leverage planning to make your classrooms more culturally responsive.

Collaboration and Communication for Equity Focused Teacher Leadership - July 28-29
If you’ve experienced CSTP’s Teacher Leadership Framework before or not at all, you’ll want to attend this new session to explore the knowledge, skills and dispositions necessary to lead equity focused conversations with colleagues. During this session participants will explore components of teacher leadership with a focus on the communication and collaboration skills necessary to have hard conversations about race and equity in our schools and systems. Educators will have an opportunity to investigate and reflect on their own strengths and areas for growth. We will model and practice the use of protocols and structures to support difficult and necessary learning focused conversations to increase collaboration. Participants will leave this session with a solid foundation for understanding teacher leadership, as well as practical resources they can implement immediately with colleagues in order to more effectively work together for the benefit of the students we serve.
