The one-hundred-year milestone for HPM Building Supply—Hawaii’s local building supplier, retailer, and manufacturer—couldn’t have happened without their many customers, partners, and supporters. HPM is so grateful to their extended family of contractors and community members who not only trust HPM to help them build better but help make Hawaii a more connected, self-sufficient place to live.

To celebrate HPM’s centennial year, they are giving back on an even larger scale through acts of service, by supporting individuals and organizations in our community who make a difference. HPM’s owner-employees are choosing to lead by example in completing 100 community service acts this year.

HPM is also honoring their centennial year by holding events and statewide giveaways, including the “$20K ‘Live Better’ Giveaway” where one person will win $20,000 in HPM store credit for a home project of their choice.

For more than 30 years, BIA-Hawaii has conducted the Building Industry Design & Construction Awards featuring the best in remodeling and new construction projects statewide.

The esteemed awards recognize and celebrate the achievements of industry professionals in a variety of categories representing a cross-section of the building and construction spectrum.

Industry trade associations confront many of the same issues, whether it be government affairs, escalating material costs, permitting, inspections, building codes, litigation, and the list goes on. BIA-Hawaii and GCA of Hawaii are pleased to join forces for a shared approach to solving industry issues faced by our members.

Did you know you can earn a National Designation right here in Hawaii? BIA works in partnership with NAHB to offer our members to offer targeted curriculum, accomplished instructors, and nationally respected professional development opportunities. Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS) courses teach technical, business management, and customer service skills essential to competing in the aging-in-place market with a major focus on professionalism including a strict Code of Ethics.

About the Employment & Training Fund. In 1991, the State Legislature established the ETF program to address the growing need to upgrade the job skills of Hawaii's workforce, created as part of a national movement that swept the country in the 1980s. Investing in human capital to improve productivity and the nation's quality of goods and services became a top priority. The Employer Referral ("micro") program is for individual businesses that need to upgrade the job skills of their employees. 

BIA-Hawaii is an approved Training Provider. ETF will cover 50% of the Non-Member course fee rate for select courses, up to a maximum of $400.
