CHAMBER CERTIFIED FARMER'S MARKET -
LAST Market for this season will be on May 7.
Vendors include fresh produce, pastries, Kettle Corn, flowers and landscaping items. Plus hummus, jewelry, CBD, medicine bags, T-shirts, music, prizes and more.
** Friday from 8 AM - noon at Christmas Circle.
**Dogs must be kept on leashes of no more than 6-feet.
**Please remember this is a Chamber managed event, so what shoppers do in the market corridor is under the guidelines of the Borrego Springs Chamber of Commerce.
**Please follow masks and social distancing guidelines so the market is enjoyable for everyone.

SBA Announces Official Restaurant Revitalization Fund Application and Guidelines
Economic relief prioritized for underserved communities
 
WASHINGTON – SBA Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman today announced key details on application requirements, eligibility, and a program guide for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RFF). The restaurant industry has been among the hardest-hit sectors during the economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The SBA will administer the funds to the hardest-hit small restaurants.
 
Details on application requirements, eligibility, and a program guide are now available in English at www.sba.gov/restaurants or in Spanish at www.sba.gov/restaurantes.

American Rescue Act

The American Rescue Plan Act’s Small Business Assistance and Support
The American Rescue Plan Act provides additional relief for the nation’s small businesses and hard-hit industries for programs the SBA is currently administering and adds new efforts, including:
  • NEW: $28.6 billion for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund for industry-focused grants  
  • NEW: $100 million to establish a Community Navigator pilot program; grants will go to eligible organizations supporting efforts to improve access to COVID–19 pandemic assistance programs and resources. 
 
SBA’s current relief efforts can be found at www.sba.gov/coronavirusrelief, and more details about these program updates and new efforts the SBA will administer in the coming weeks.



Dan Denham, San Diego County Water Authority’s Deputy General Manager, is talking to the BSCSG meeting on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. – Virtual. 
 
He will be discussing the Regional Conveyance System Study.

Volunteer at the Chamber!

Volunteer Commitment:
Volunteers are requested to spend a minimum of four (4) hours a week each month, preferably for five (5) months. Hours may be split in two shifts of two (2) hour shifts each week or four (4) hours straight.
 
Welcome Center Commitment:
1. Borregan Chamber of Commerce Membership (Individual)
2. Name tag
3. Recognition on Chamber website
4. Member discount on copies and faxes
5. Complimentary volunteer social events
6. Free admission for one to all Sundowners
7. Water, sodas and snacks provided
8. The Welcome Center is closed on holidays
9. Covid 19 – Chamber adheres to current County, State and Federal health and safety guidelines and supplies masks, gloves and sanitizer.
