Toledo's Local Leaders Building a Clean Energy Future for the City
Last month, the City of Toledo became the 17th community to join Power a Clean Future Ohio! In joining PCFO, the City of Toledo has adopted the #Ohio30by30 goal – taking meaningful action to address climate change and build a clean energy economy!
 
Bipartisan infrastructure bill’s clean energy investments good for Ohio cities
We are excited to see that the clean energy investments included in the bipartisan infrastructure bill passed this week by the US Senate has gained the support of two PCFO Mayors. Lancaster Mayor David Scheffler (R) and Athens Mayor Steve Patterson (D) joined forces for an op-ed outlining how the legislation will not only create more jobs and drive innovation, but also help our country's businesses and municipalities recover from the impacts of the pandemic that we're still feeling today.
 
The mayors said: "If implemented, these investments would represent a paradigm shift towards a better future for our cities, state, and nation—especially when combined with significant and increasing private sector clean-energy 

A Reflection on The City Club of Cleveland Forum event
If you didn't get the chance to attend The City Club of Cleveland's forum, Climate, Conversation and Community Power, last Friday, there was a great conversation had on climate change, community power and climate equity. 

Together, Leah Hudnall of Ohio Climate Justice Fund, Rachael Belz of Ohio Citizen Action and Tanner Yess of Groundwork Ohio River Valley shared their takes on how to make a lasting impact in the communities most affected by these pressing issues. Click here to read more.
