Please join the Clinton Chamber as we honor and celebrate our city's exceptional public servants
This event is the Clinton Chamber of Commerce 's annual Public Service Appreciation Luncheon, open to the community as well as Chamber members . At this special luncheon each year, the Chamber joins the community of Clinton to honor and celebrate our city's exceptional public servants.

For our October Public Service Appreciation Luncheon, the Chamber will recognize all elected officials in attendance, in addition to presenting the awards for Clinton Firefighter, Policeman, and City Employee of the Year. The Chamber will also welcome guest speaker Cecil Brown, Central District Public Service Commissioner, at this celebration of our outstanding citizens.

Commissioner Brown was born in Meridian, Mississippi. When he joined the governor's staff 24 years ago, Commissioner Brown quickly gained a reputation as someone who would give sound, honest advice. His knowledge of accounting allowed him to evaluate intricate budgets and offer insight into best route to take through the process.

Because of his depth of knowledge and passion for Mississippi, Cecil has served seven years as Chairman of the Education Committee and eight years as a member of the Joint Legislative Budget Committee during his 15 years as a State Representative.
Commissioner Brown's wife Nancy is a public school teacher, and together they have four children and seven grandchildren.

The meal at this event will be provided by Mississippi College, and we are pleased to offer the following menu to luncheon guests:

  • Strawberry Spinach Salad
  • Chicken Picatta with Lemon Caper Sauce
  • Angel Hair Pasta with Sundried Tomatoes
  • Steamed Lemon Garlic Broccoli
  • Rolls and Butter
  • White Chocolate Bread Pudding
  • Tea, Water, and Coffee

As this is a catered event, reservations are required to ensure enough food for guests. In light of this, the Chamber kindly requests attendees register by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 30th so that we can provide ample lunch for everyone.

Join the Clinton Chamber as we network, lunch, and celebrate our public servants!
