Epic Updates
Epic Connect Program Update
We are excited to share that five additional APP aligned practices recently went live on Epic Connect, bringing our total to 17. This allows us to continue to advance our population health work, support care coordination across the network and greatly enhance safety and quality through a single patient record.
As a reminder, Epic Connect implementation is an APP membership requirement for eligible internal medicine and family medicine physicians. Learn more to reserve your spot.
Additional clinical notes and test results available in LiveWell Oct. 5
In compliance with the 21st Century Cures Act, we’ll be sharing all electronic health information soon, which means more medical documentation and test results will be visible to patients and their proxies in LiveWell. To ensure patients understand these enhancements, we’ll notify them through LiveWell. To note:
- With this update, many test results will be automatically released over a shorter timeframe. You can follow an exception process during ordering if you need a test result released on a different schedule. Tip sheet coming week of Sept. 26 in the Epic Bulletins and This Week.

Also on Oct. 5, in Epic, the Documentation encounter type is changing to two new encounter types:
- Administrative Documentation – Use this to document non-clinical information that will not be viewable in LiveWell.
- Clinical Documentation – Use this to document clinical information – this will be viewable by patients in LiveWell.
