Tsimane 2021 Fishing Report
Week 4
LUCAS FAOR CREDITS
SECURE
Week 4

We hosted a group of 6 anglers coming from the United States in our third week.

The week began with a high flood due to rains in the mountains but after that the river dropped to its regular level along the week.
Water temperature was cold, but despite that, the Dorado were active in the lower and upper section. We got many Dorado an also some Yatorana with big patterns.

We made two camps divided in two different groups, the first one leaded by Curt Hamby. 4 fishermen went up by midweek and the fishing was great, our guests had many situations of feeding frenzies, taking advantage of that, they caught many dorado in the crystal clear headwaters of the Secure river. Also some nice Pacu showed up despite the cold water.

At the end of the week, Jessica and Danny went camping and the fishing in the headwaters was nice. Danny Wiener got 3 big fish on a single day, two of them right in our feet, while the dorado were hunting sábalo on the shores.

PLUMA LODGE
Week 4

We received 7 guests, all from the United States.

The week began active with the first big Dorado caught by Dave on the upper Itirizama and another 2 over 20lb that were landed in the lower Pluma.

The weather was great along most of the week with some chilly days towards the end.

Lots of feeding frenzies were seen on the lower and main Pluma river giving our guests multiple chances to sight cast. Miles caught another 20 pounder fishing a feeding frenzy.
The last day of the week was the slowest due to a cold front that hopefully will pass fast.

AGUA NEGRA
Week 4

After a big rain at the beginning of the week everything got back to normal. Even with cold weather the Agua Negra and the Chimoro rivers gave us some really good moments. We shared it with 4 new friends from Oregon: Ross, Mat, Ray, and Rick.

Due to the condition of the secure we spent mostly of the week fishing the Agua Negra and the Chimoro; the water in both rivers was pretty clear and we caught many nice fish. By the middle of the week both groups spent one night camping in the upper Agua Negra with good fishing was really good, feeding frenzies and some big Pacu.
The biggest fish of the week was a 22lbs Dorado caught in the mouth of the Agua Negra river.
