Dear St. Anthony families,
The 2nd Annual St. Anthony Walk-A-Thon is just one week away! Students have been returning their fundraising envelopes and signed permission slips. First grade is currently the class with the most registered students and in 1st place for the Ice Cream Sundae Bar prize! Keep turning in your donations and permission slips, we will update students on progress during announcements next week.
Each student must turn in their $50.00 donation by Thursday April 25, 2024, in order to participate in the walk. All money raised will directly benefit students and be used to support teaching and learning at St. Anthony through our annual fund.
Students can collect cash, check, or online donations from friends and family and local businesses. The online donation link can be found here and on the St. Anthony website. Completed envelopes with signed permission slips and the 50.00 donation can be turned in each morning to the school office from 7:30-7:55am.
There are four donation count days before the walk. Each day will offer an additional incentive. The first collection count day is Tuesday April 16th. Students turning in their signed permission slip and $50.00 donation on or before the 16th will receive a hat day pass, pajama day pass, and a bring your stuffie to school pass to use on a day of their choice. The second collection count day is Thursday April 18th. Students turning in their signed permission slip and $50.00 donation by the 20th will receive a hat day pass and pajama day pass to use on a day of their choice. The third collection count day is Tuesday April 23rd. Students turning in their signed permission slip and $50.00 donation by the 23rd will receive a pajama day pass to use on a day of their choice. Our final collection count day will be Thursday April 25th, the day before the Walk-A-Thon. All permission slips and money collected must be turned in that day for students to participate. As an added incentive, the first homeroom to have all of their permission slips and donations turned in will receive an ice cream sundae bar on Walk-A-Thon day AND new this year, the top contributing student will earn the top prize Principal for the Day!!
On the day of the Walk-A-Thon, Friday April 26, 2024. Students will attend school for a full day. Each registered student will receive a Walk-A-Thon t-shirt and may be out of uniform that day, wearing appropriate shorts or sweatpants for walking and comfortable tennis shoes. We will walk in the morning, and have a picnic lunch with games and inflatables in the park during recess. Students who do not raise the required 50.00 donation will not participate in the walk and will be given alternate educational activities during that time. Please contact the school office if the cost presents a financial hardship for your family.
