"BLESSING OUR COMMUNITY CONTINUES"

My heart has been blessed as more and more people are finding, developing, and using their spiritual gifts to help and bless others in very tangible ways. We have been doing "homework" the past several weeks, looking for people that we can be "neighbors" to and bless and help. Last week, Bill & Candy Brummer were helping some Megiddo Dream Station people distribute sack lunches to the homeless in the Bath community. One of the ladies helping to pass out food was a graduate from the Megiddo program in 2018, where she learned how to find and keep a job. Many people from Midland Valley Community have helped and supported the Megiddo Non-Profit Ministry through the years. Now, this lady was bubbling over with excitement as she was helping others. She testified to Bill & Candy about how God had provided for her and that she would graduate from Aiken Tech this Spring with a Medical Tech skill that will enable her to get a permanent job. She has been cleaning houses while going to school, and she very joyfully said "I now have money to buy my dream vehicle...a F-150 pickup truck!" Bill and Candy said her enthusiasm was contagious as she continually told others that what God had done for her, He could do for them!

Isn't that exciting! It feels so good to help someone else. Yes, it will probably inconvenience you, and it may cost you, but I promise the reward we get from blessing others is something you cannot put a price tag on. This Sunday we will continue this theme by talking about you and I having "Skin in the Game." Let's keep inviting people to church, let's keep blessing our community, and I promise we will be blessed ourselves beyond measure!

Jesus' Girls

Hey ladies! Join us Monday nights from 6:30-8:00 at Midland Valley Community in room 316 of the FMC. We will be starting a new study on April 29th, 2024. This one will be: Get Out of Your Head by JENNIE ALLEN

Are your thoughts holding you captive? Jennie Allen knows what it’s like to swirl in a spiral of destructive thoughts, such as I’ll never be good enough. Other people have better lives than I do. God couldn’t really love me. But Jennie also knows we don’t have to stay stuck in toxic thinking patterns. As she discovered, God built a way for us to escape that downward spiral. Freedom comes when we refuse to be victims to our thoughts and realize we have already been equipped with power from God to fight and win the war for our minds.

In Get Out of Your Head, Jennie takes groups on a study in Philippians, inspiring and equipping us to transform our emotions, our outlook, and even our circumstances by taking control of our thoughts. When we submit our minds to Christ, the promises and goodness of God flood our lives in remarkable ways. It starts in your head. And from there, the possibilities are endless.
